Admission Policy

CPC Preschool is set up to provide services to young children ages 2 – 5. Our program services include academic studies, social interaction, developmental activities, meals, rest time and outdoor play. We may also provide a field trip experience for the children throughout the year. With the child to adult ratios set in place, the teachers are trained to supervise up to 12 children in a setting at one time. We also offer services to families outside of the school day. These may include, gymnastics, dance, and music lessons.

CPC Preschool does not discriminate against any student on the basis of race, color, religion, national and/or ethnic origin. Children with physical or learning handicaps will be evaluated and admission will be judged on the best interest of the child and within the capabilities of the school.

Tuition Policy

Our center is funded solely by tuition. CPC Preschool operates year round; therefore, no tuition credit is given for vacation or illness. Tuition is due on the first of each month and must be paid in advance. NO CASH PLEASE. A $25.00 late fee is charged for late tuition payments. There is an initial registration fee of $100.00. There is an annual $50.00 registration fee due each subsequent year in the spring. A 10% discount is given to enrolled siblings. An occasional additional fee may be asked to cover a field trip or special assembly.

Signing In and Out

Each child must be signed in and out every day by someone over the age of 18. Identification will be checked on every person picking up your child that is not familiar to our staff. You must have on file the name of every person you intend to pick up or we will not permit your child to leave the center with that person.

If you need to pick your child up for a mid day appointment, you must sign-out and back on upon returning to school. Please inform your child’s teacher know in advance of any mid day appointments.

If there is a custody situation, we must have on file the court order prohibiting someone from taking the child from the facility.

Late Pick Up

If your child is picked up late from daycare (after 6:15 PM), a late fee is assessed. Staff will not engage you about your reason for being late. They will send a “Late Pick-Up” slip to the bookkeeper and you will be billed. Late fees are $10.00 for every 10 minutes per child (example: if you arrive at 6:01 PM your late fee will be $10.00. If you arrive at 6:11 PM the fee will be $20.00).

Discipline

Our belief is that redirection is MORE effective that ‘time out’. One of our goals is to reinforce the child’s self esteem and self-control. If there is a discipline problem, the child is steered toward another activity that s/he can take part. In some cases, children are given a ‘time out’ where they sit out for a short period of time to ‘cool off’. In extreme cases where the child is harming him/herself or other children, or shows flagrant disrespect for teachers, the parent is called to pick the child up. If the problem continues after parent/staff intervention, we may request that the child be permanently removed from our program.
